Arcanum

The Terran races mastered a science of astral-manipulation they called 'Arcanum'. This science allowed them to create complex spells that could reform and manipulate physical or astral space to suit their needs; with the use of this science they were able to travel great distances throuh space and redouble thier manipulation of the process of life. Arcanum was easily the most potent science they had mastered.

The Arcanum used by modern inhabitants of the Asylum is a watered down version of the complete science: The spells and techniques used in the creation of Aspects or for space travel have been lost to the inhabbitants of the worlds.
