Eve Taener

Eve is Psyte Haden's partner, best friend, family, and is the closest thing to the brains of the travelers. Eve is the daughter of Violet Taener: born in the Goth republic, but raised in Aracnadia. Smooth, cynical, and something of a bitch; Eve plays the hard case role to offset the kindness of Psyte and the gentle weirdness of Genhe - underneath all the grime and dirt of her numerous character flaws (foul-mouth, chain smoker, mean-spirited, just to name a few) Eve does have a soft spot for Psyte, and a loyalty to other forces at work as well.

There are a few characteristics about Eve that don't realy stand out - the first is that she is built like a twelve-year old boy and is quite sensitive about it (Psyte is a nice guy, so he never brings it up, but most lunarians are...shapely). The second characteristic is that Eve talks with something simmilar to a british accent...I'm not realy sure why, it's just the way she always sounded in my imagination..

Eve is powerful, but not in the way other characters are powerful. Multiple times, Eve demonstrates mental abilities, astral forces powers, and telepathic powers that are far beyond those of even most espers. There is also a sense of knowledge and education to Eve that gives the indication of some kind of training or career preperation from her mother.

Eve is an interesting character to write for: sometimes it's cathartic to write a character that is so un-restrained. The thing of it is - I wouldn't like Eve much as a person in real life. I mean. She's kind of a bitch. When I first wrote the Shadowlark Symphony stories there were plot holes lying all over the place; Eve was added to the story to sort of ties things together more smoothly and make sure the characters move in the right direction.
